Collection: Incense resin
Incense resin is the purest and most natural form of incense. The resin is practically a substance dried and hardened from the sap of trees, bushes and plants. Essential oils and other aromatic substances such as dried flowers or wood chips may also be mixed with the resin. When burning, the resin releases the aromas bound to it.
Unlike incense sticks, resin does not burn by itself, but requires a separate heat source to burn, for example a hot coal. Incense resin is burned in a fire-resistant container, for example a cauldron or a ceramic container.
A smokeless alternative is to mix resin with a neutral plant-based oil in the cup of a aroma burner, after which the mixture is vaporized using a small candle.
